How We Review

Every app covered on aniwatchapk.com is tested on real phones before its download information is published. Kenji Watanabe installs the app himself, uses it the way an anime fan would, and only then is the version listed with its file size and compatibility details.

Each review works through the same set of checks, in the same order, so versions can be compared fairly. The app is installed cleanly from its file, the permissions it requests are reviewed, performance and battery behaviour are checked during normal use, and the file goes through a safety scan. When a new version lands, the checks are run again before the listing is updated.

Test phones

  • Samsung Galaxy A55 (Android 15)
  • Google Pixel 8 (Android 16)
  • Redmi Note 13 Pro (Android 14)
  • Infinix Note 40 Pro (Android 14)
  • Samsung Galaxy A13 (Android 12)

What every review checks

  • Clean install: the file is installed from scratch and the first launch is checked
  • Permissions review: every permission the app requests is read and judged against what the app does
  • Performance and battery: browsing, trailer playback and long sessions are timed and watched for drain
  • Safety scan: the file is scanned before any download information is published
  • Update re-checks: when a new version arrives, the same checks run again before the listing changes

Reviews on this site are carried out by Kenji Watanabe, Anime Streaming Reviewer. If a check cannot be completed for a version, that gap is stated in the review instead of being guessed.
